Friday Feast 171
Appetizer ~ What was the last game you purchased?
I know I can safely post this because my 5-year-old does not read my blog... I purchased "Operation" for him as a Christmas gift.
Soup ~ Name something in which you don’t believe.
This will probably get me in trouble with a bunch of folks - BUT... I do not believe that mankind is the cause of global warming. One of the best speeches, based not on fear, but on scientific data, that I have heard on the subject can be found here.
Salad ~ If you could choose a celebrity to be your boss, who would you pick?
Oh, I don't know. I've never been bitten by the celebrity bug, or one to think that celebrities are "all that and a bag full of chips", or anything to get excited about. They are just a people, people like you and me, only most of them get to have their bad choices aired in the media spotlight and discussed by the world-at-large.
If I absolutely, HAD to choose, I'd pick Alton Brown from the Food Network. He's quirky, creative, has a sense of humor, and can make some seriously "Good Eats".
Main Course ~ What was a lesson you had to learn the hard way?
The Rolling Stones had a song about it...
"You can't always get what you want.
But if you try sometimes,
You get what you need."
Dessert ~ Describe your idea of the perfect relaxation room.
- Room must have whirlpool tub, with bubble bath assortment
- Room must have large capacity CD changer that contains music from Diana Krall, smooth jazz, Eric Clapton, John Tesh, contemporary Christian worship songs, throw in some country music - old and new
- Room must have a comfy chair/couch, preferably next to a fireplace.
- Room must have large book collection containing the entire Family, Fiction, and Daily Living sections from Lifeway Bookstore. Would also like a collection of books from my favorite secular authors John Grisham & Michael Chrichton, as well as some authors that I'd like to read David Patterson, Sue Grafton, and David Baldacci.
- Last, but certainly not least, the room absolutely must contain a "mute button" for my children, dogs, and husband...
Gee, this was fun!

Oh! I like the mute button idea! ;) I used to love Operation as a kid ... and even as an adult! Fun fun fun!! Happy Friday!
I almost said what you did on the Soup! BUt I think I do believe some of it, which is kinda where my answer took me anyway.
Alton Brown! I like that one!
You seem like someone who thinks like I do. ;-)
All great answers but especially great was the SOUP and thanks much for supplying a GOOD RECIPE for it. I.E. The Crichton link.
Happy Feast Day!
I love all of it and your soup isn't going to bother me at all. I agree. All politics and money. With you on the salad. Awesome main course and your dessert made me smile. Have a great FF and weekend. :)
I Love Alton Brown. :)
Thanks for stopping by mine.
I've gotta disagree about man accellerating global warming...
sooooooo much pollution... it can cause cancer to inhale too much and some not much at all. Carbon monoxide can kill a person... but it's harmless to the atmosphere? No way. Implausible!
But Good Eats is definitely a GREAT show! Love Alton Brown and all the funny little things he does in teaching people to cook better. Sad that Emeril's going to stop taping but they've still got such great personalities at the Food Network!
Merry Christmas :)
Hi!
I forgot about Alton brown, that would have been a good choice. I think that we aren't nearly as responsible for global warming as some enviromentalists would lead us to believe. Thank you for visiting me, and I hope your weekend is a joyful one.
